http://jcr.corpus.cam.ac.uk/ballot/room/254 - Chris's review of 6TS 10 is not just the longest of all time, but the longest of the year!
Surely you don't want to read it all, so there's the final excerpt of his 1300 word essay: Truly though, when all other things are put aside, it is the people that make T-Street what it is. For Bridgemas 2014, we managed to combine the awesome might of all the kitchens to deliver a full Bridgemas dinner for around fifteen people. While devouring chicken, diving into stuffing balls, scooping generous helpings of cheesecake and sipping mulled wine, you realise that the people around you make the building you’re in. The walls could crumble and collapse, and you will still be left with friends (and probably a significant insurance cheque or legal settlement). Enjoy this room, and take good care of it. Love and huggles, Chris Oscar got bored and started at 8.30 instead! All the better for it! The first 4 have chosen, and no surprises for our 'insider predictions'.
1. Caitlin - N5 (MMLer, so for year after, anyone can choose this room still!) 2. James McBridge - N1 3. Bradley - Beldam 57 4. Shona - Y8 5. Kat - ???.... Apparently in a 8.45 lecture... ahhhh the life of a medic! So a fair mix of rooms chosen so far, and as predicted none of the rush for Old Court seen in previous years, especially if we take out the MMler. Now just for Kat. Expect a decision after 9.45 when her lecture ends! Well, at least it gives me time for a shower and breakfast! #ballotlife I've got this on auto-refresh btw every 10 seconds, so if anything happens we are the first to know! Photo of Oscar getting the ballot underway (if you look carefully you can even see his reflection... how much more authenticity do you need!) We're glad to see that freshers are getting on board with the ballot: "fresher struggling to sleep because i'm so excited" Perhaps a calming mug of camomile tea would help with the pre-ballot jitters?
Also had reports of a certain spreadsheet-loving 2nd year working out what everyone's going for... Now who could that be? Rumour has it that one member of college has spiced up his room descriptions with some extra special pictures: here's just a selection
Fed up of that dingy, hobbit room in Botolph? Want some peace from the bin-busker right outside your window in X? Out of luck in a dark dungeon of Newnham House? NOW is your time. It's time for change.
